About the Event
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau cordially invites you to join us for a discussion on equity as new jobs are created to ensure that women and workers in underserved communities benefit from these jobs. The Bi-Partisan Infrastructure Law, Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors and Science Act of 2022 (CHIPS Act), and Inflation Reduction Act provide unprecedented funding for infrastructure improvements.
The program includes an overview of the funding opportunities and dire need to maintain equity in focus to benefit workers most impacted by the pandemic. We will hold a panel discussion with federal representatives; and a community panel to discuss local resources and initiatives benefiting local workers as well as opportunity for tradeswomen to network with potential contractors and businesses.
