Luanna is an advocate for self-determination, an organizer, and a popular educator. She is the co-founder of Weaving Our Stories, a Hawai’i-rooted abolitionist program focused on storytelling as a means of liberation. Luanna has worked in various fields nationally and internationally, including community intervention program design and evaluation, culturally relevant STEM education, film, art, and creative writing workshops focused on social justice. Her career has centered on community empowerment and sustainability through education and advocacy. She loves to engage her community in deeper learning, better preparing them not only for success but for the most important parts of life: being an empowered individual.
Outside of her professional career, she is a Mother, an advocate, a community organizer, a writer, and a lover of all things just.
